NYC....Day 3

Yesterday was rainy so we stayed inside during most of the rainy time.  We headed to Madam Tussauds.
While we were at the Museum we met up with many of the stars immediately in the "Opening Night" room.  Here are just a few of the people we saw...

We then headed to the "History Room" where we saw poets, artists, World Leaders, and heroes.

This is Madame Tussaud.  She had a wax figure of herself made before she died.

I like the look on Ryan's face in this picture...

 Ryan & Bill Gates...go figure. :P
We saw a 4-D movie.  It was the Wizard of Oz (12 minute abridged version).  When the tornado came, then wind began to blow in the theater.  Near the end I told Ryan we were going to get wet, and sure enough, when Dorthy threw water on the witch we all got sprayed a little bit.
 Justin Beiber was there...be jealous.
After the museum we headed back to the hotel for some left over lunch.  Then we went downtown.  It was pretty foggy, but I figured one never knows.  We rode the train to the last stop and were able to just barely see Lady Liberty.
This globe was in the WTC and was given as a symbol of peace.  When the towers fell it was damaged.  On 9/11/2002 it was put in the park near Lady Liberty.  The pit in the front also has a flame in it all the time.
 There she is...

After seeing the statue, we headed up to Wall Street and the Stock Exchange.  Here's Ryan with the Bull.
 Trinity Church
WTC Site.  It's changed since I was last there.  I saw it in 2004 and it was a pretty big hole that you could walk around and read signs and information about 9/11.  I was back in 2007 and they were starting to build.  Now in 2011 if you didn't know you'd think they were just building.  We did go to the 9/11 Preview Site.  The memorial is going to be pretty intense.  Click memorial to see the website.  I told Ryan that clearly we'd have to come back when it was done. :)

Today we got a really late start!  It's easy to keep on sleeping when the dark drapes are pulled.  Not sure what we're doing today, but we'll figure it out. :)
