I got online today checked out my Spain trip itinerary. I'm kind of excited! Here's what's on tap for the week I'm gone.

Arrive in Barcelona, Spain's second-largest city and capital of Cataluña. The rest of the day is free to explore this bustling city. (D)

Morning sightseeing shows you the Castillo de Montjuïc and the Gothic Quarter. View Gaudí's un'nished Sagrada Familia and the 1992 Olympic complex. See the famous Columbus statue erected in 1888 in the Plaza de la Paz. During afternoon exploration time, why not stroll along the Ramblas or visit the Picasso Museum? (B,D)

Visit Tarragona this morning. See the ruins of a once great Roman city, including the amphitheater. Lunch is included today instead of dinner. Return to Barcelona with time to explore, then board an overnight train, with couchettes provided. (B,L)

Arrive in the morning in Andalucía's capital, Seville. A sightseeing tour includes the immense Gothic Cathedral, the Giralda Tower and the Alcázar. (B,D)

Choose to take an optional journey to the Moorish city of Córdoba, where you can roam through narrow lanes lined with whitewashed buildings and see the Mezquita, a colorful mosque. Otherwise, enjoy a free day to wander through Santa Cruz, the old section of Seville. This evening, enjoy an included flamenco show. (B,D)

Travel this morning to Granada. Visit the Alhambra, the most magnificent of all the Moorish palaces in Spain, and explore the fragrant Generalife Gardens nearby. (B,D)

A journey to Spain's old capital of Toledo includes a visit to the Church of Santo Tomé, the treasures of the Gothic Cathedral and the Medieval Synagogue. Continue to Spain's modern capital, Madrid, for the evening. (B,L)
