I'll do it. I'll blog.
Back two weeks ago--Spring Break 08!
Maundy Thursday Matt the Bus Driver and I headed up to Winter Park to partake in some fabulous skiing/snowboarding. We left early so that I could be back in time to sing in church. Upon our departure Matt informed me we'd be going to the WP base because he forgot his boots--who does that? WP was PACKED with spring breakers! Once we had his boots (we tried to get them at Mary Jane, but failed) we headed to Mary Jane. We had a good time! Matt is for sure the better of the two of us, so he waited a few times for me, but it was fun! Craziest moment of the day? Lunch. Matt ate a cinnamin roll and drank two beers (one was for me, but I'm just not a beer girl).
Good Friday, back up to WP this time with Rosie and Chrissy (the roommates). It was their first time...ever. They took snowboarding lessons the first half of the day while me and my iPod skiied. I met them at 1 for lunch then when back to the "Discovery Park" and skiied while they worked at perfecting their snowboarding. When we went to church that night they told people they had gone "Falling". This sums up the time in Discovery Park with them. I thought I'd be cool and practice skiing backwards--didn't work out for very long. :)
Saturday--Easter Breakfast preparation with youth group.
Easter--Come to church, put three cassaroles in the oven, run up to church just in time to play guitar and sing, go back down check cassaroles, finish little details, serve Easter Breakfast, clean-up, to up to the 9:30 service, come back down...yay someone finished clean-up for us, go home, go to Heins for Easter, learn about babies and their belly button/umbilical cord--GROSS!, go home, pretend to pack for Vegas......................................................
Monday--Get up at 4am, Pack for Vegas. 5am, On the road to Vegas.
Contrary to Colleens blog I did not just promptly go to sleep in the car. I was trying to talk to both Colleen and Cyndi when Colleen asked me if I was supposed to be sleeping, so at that point I decided I would sleep. When I woke up I thought we had taken a wrong turn and ended up in Alaska. The snow around Vail was SO freaking high! I was wearing flip-flops and capris with a sweatshirt. I ran in really fast to the rest stop, used the facilities and ran back out. So cold!
Vegas--Vegas was a good time. I would like to go back with the Seward girls. I think we could do some major "damage" and have a great time. Favorite thing...Water show at the Bellagio. AWESOME!!
Last week was pretty boring. Nothing real exciting going on. We went to the Rockies game on Saturday (it was opening weekend) to celebrate my birthday (a bit early but the Rockies aren't in town on a weekend again until May!) There ended up being five of us. It was quite a bit of fun.
This week is achievement test week which means I can waste time online while they students are testing and still be doing my job. This morning I wrote up stuff for Outdoor Ed as well as checked out other things online.
April 29th I begin my masters work through the University of Phoenix. When all is complete I will have a Masters in Curriculum/Instruction and Language Arts. I'm pretty excited about it!
Well there you have it, a blog...don't check back too soon for another. :)
