Well, things are back to "normal" here. Whatever that is. I got back from NYC at 11:59pm January 1st. I was greeted by snow, cold weather, and two nice guys who picked me up. (Jealous?) On the 2nd I told myself all day "You need to get dressed and go to school." This phrase was repeated numerous times. Guess what I never did? Go to school. Instead I organized our pantry. Now one can easily find breakfast food (third shelf), pasta (second shelf) canned goods (third shelf), junk food (fourth shelf) and a few other randome things. Prior to my cleaning there was so much in there that just looked back at you in an overwhelming way that I can't even begin to describe. I also did alot of laundry on the 2nd to ensure that I would indeed be fit to be seen in public when I finally did go out.
Thursday I went back to school. I did really talk to anyone over the break, so going back I felt the need to discuss vacation with everyone, but at the same time the need to jump right into teaching because if I start the first day off hap hazardly, then there is no telling where it will go from there. Thursday and Friday we had basketball practice and because only 9 of my boys showed up for practice, I was forced to play...darn! :)
This weekend I spent catching up with friends I hadn't seen since well before break. Amy and I got drinks Friday night and discussed things that are really important to single 25 year old women. Saturday I worked a wedding with Colleen (see cool wedding cake photo below) and went bowling with Amy and Andy. I bowled a 145 the first game...the highest score I've ever bowled! Sadly my second game was not as good-86. We had a good time though. Unfortunately we had to leave once the sweet black lights and "epilepsy" lights came on...

I'm adding some flowers to it...and thinking that I should sample it...for poison of course!
Picture from NYC...you can just refer to us as the "The Coolest People".
So, many blogs that I've read while procrastinating updating mine included highlights from 2007 and resolutions and goals and stuff for 2008, so here's my list.
2007:
Skied alot and loved it
Hiked in the mountains a few times
Met a couple new people
Went on what felt like the first "adult vacation" (hotel rental, car rental, the whole deal) to Orlando
Attended B-palooza and bonded with LauraLaura over margaritas
Decided I didn't really care for margaritas :)
Added Oklahoma to the list of states I've visted
Spent more time at Denver Lutheran than I ever thought I would
Formed new friendships with people who have always been here, but that I never really spent alot of time with
and the highlight...Went to NYC with some pretty cool people and LOVED IT!
2008
Ski more
Start Grad School
Look fantastic for the two family weddings
Go to Las Vegas
Go to Mexico
Go to Alaska
Figure out the meaning of life! (Well, maybe that one won't happen....)
Well, those of you who have wondered where I've been in the blogging world--I hope this makes you happy for a while. :) Basketball season is picking up BIG time now, so I may not be around alot, but check back anyway, you never know!
