As my grama once said, "Bear, you could make an adventure out of going to Wal-Mart."...well, I didn't go to Wal-Mart, but I did have an adventure!
Today I left Denver to come home to the good life, Nebraska. This was going to be a simple endeavor. No gargantuan blizzards to delay me. Just me, an airplane, and a quick trip to Nebraska. I departed Denver at 7am, to arrive in Omaha at 915am. Good timing...if it had worked that way. Upon "arriving" to Omaha we circle the airport for about an hour and a half because of fog. The captain tells us that we will probably be redirected to Kansas City. This makes Sarah mad. Then, about 20 minutes later she decided that Lincoln is closer, so we'll go there, refuel, and then head back to Omaha. We got to Lincoln, refueled and sat on the plane. Eventually we are told that we have two choices, stay on the plane and go back to Denver, or get off the plane and find our own ways to Omaha. I chose the latter, called mom and said, head to Lincoln, I'll be at the airport. Finally at about 1245pm I have my bags, and mom is at the airport to pick me us. It was a crazy morning!!!
Because of the "mishap" mom and I shopped a little in Lincoln. We drove past a beautiful memorial stadium and when we drove through Seward we stopped on campus. I hadn't been back to ol' CU since I graduated. I wasn't sure that I really wanted to go back, knowing how much would be different. I am happy to report that the only difference I noticed was the new dorm, Jonathan, and the fact that no longer is there through traffic in front of David. I headed up to Jesse to see if Renea was around, she was not. There were not alot of people around---my guess is today was the last day of finals.
Currently dad and I are sitting at the table with our spiffy laptops...I'm blogging and he's working on an online test. I told mom we were a regular cyber-cafe and all we needed were latte's. I had to repeat this need about 8 times and I'm pretty sure dad still doesn't know what I'm talking about. :)
