Anyone can work at Wal-Mart...really...

So tonight I'm at Wal-Mart with my mom. I remember that I need to make a copy of a school van key for myself and that I have the van keys with me, so I tell her that's where I'm going. I head back to the automotive section and there are no associates around. There are however, two guys. One wearing sunglasses (because it's bright in those stores!) and one in all white. The guy in all white tells me I should page an associate. I'm in the middle of texting with the roommates about who should get milk, and what kind of milk we should get (this is serious, 1% or 2%?) Anyway, I tell the guy that I don't think I have those kind of powers. So I continue texting and watching these guys. Sunglasses guy is getting impatient and tells "white" guy that they should just go up front to pay. White guy then walks over to the phone on the wall, picks it up and starts pushing buttons. In between pushing buttons he taps on the phone to see if it's over the loudspeaker. He taps it and realizes that it is on over the loudspeaker. He then says something to the effect of "associates to sporting goods and automotive". As he is 'paging' said associates, one walks past. I'm thinking, oh man this guy is going to get it. So the guy paging the associates says to the one walking past "dude, you gonna help me?" and the associates responds with 'no' and walks away! Meanwhile an associate comes in from the garage area, apologizing for the need to have someone page him! At this point I can barely contain my laughter, and simply ask for my keys to be made AHEAD of the two guys who got the associate there in the first place. I get my keys made ask if I can pay for them up front...you can't, b/c you might steal them... I pay for my $1.6o key on my MasterCard because I don't have any cash. As I walk away the white guys says to me something about paying attention because if he pages me he wants me to be able to find him. So the moral of this ridiculous story is that you too can work at Wal-Mart. I came home and told Chrissy and Rosie my story and Chrissy informed me of the proper code needed to page someone at Wal-Mart...she should know, she works there!

Sarah,
You could be drinking whole milk and be just fine.
Know any Denverians who need a roommate? Email me, mqzoeller@gmail.com. Then, delete this comment so I don't get fan mail from all your blog fans. That seems promiscuous.

looking forward to slamming another door in your face, soon.
