How did they know?

As the school year comes to a close and teachers are leaving left and right at my school I have begun to question, when did the people on the Titanic know that they either had to jump ship or float on faith that they would be rescued before the ship plunged into the freezing ocean waters?

Here's the situation. Our pastor's last Sunday is June 11th. He has been our "interim principal" this year. The board has done nothing to hire a principal except put it on the voters agenda. Our 7-8th grade teacher is leaving, our office manager, who functioned more like a principal this year is leaving, and if he leaves our kindergarten teacher (his wife) will probably also go. So I ask you this, should I jump ship and leave to? or float on faith? Everyday I plan on floating on faith, and everyday something else seems to come up. Right now there are three of us floating on faith. :) We're locked in, ready to go and a bit excited about next year, even if so much of it seems unknown.

In other news, I went house hunting again on Saturday. The one condo I loved went under contract, BUT another one with the same floor plan is open, the only difference...first floor instead of second, and all wood floors! So I'm waiting on finances and then hopefully it will be mine! :D

Yesterday I spent the day downtown writing a scavenger hunt for our 5-8th graders to go on Friday. It was a fairly good time. I think the scavenger hunt will be fun. I'm looking forward to it as we require enough chaperones that the teachers do not have to take a group! Smart thinking, eh?

Well, I've got work to do!
